Wondering why your eyes just lit up and your mouth curved into a smile? You probably just heard the name Chloe Yuastella! Senator for student council, Features editor for the Eagle’s Eye, and manager at Apex Chick-fil-A, this natural-born leader brings a radiant energy to Enloe that can’t be replicated anywhere else.
For as long as we’ve known Chloe (about a year) she’s been nothing but a hilarious spirit that never shies away from being herself. We can only imagine being lucky enough to have known her as long as some of you have, which is why we decided to ask some of her closest friends and family what it’s like to deeply know Chloe. What we found is that she truly changes the lives of those around her. “I’ve learned to just be more outgoing. She’s such an outgoing, energetic person. And I think that has made me want to be like her as well,” remarks dear friend Avelin Pattinson, “ I feel like that’s something that I respect and look up to in the way that she can just go up to anyone and talk to them and, I feel like I’ve tried to grow as a person and kind of match that in some ways.”
Not only has Chloe made an impact within her circle but also around her community. We have been privy to the workload bestowed upon Chloe as a leader of three separate organizations and her ability to tackle it all is astonishing. What you might not know is that many of those Stuco and Enloe2024 posts you double tap and comment under, that meal you were served at Chick-fil-A, that Features article you read and loved, all had Ms. Yuastella written all over it. There are so many things that she does behind the scenes that you all may not know about but her passion for helping others shines through in all of these acts of kindness she so kindly gifts our school.
Now that we know a bit more about the Eagle’s Eye view on Chloe let’s dive into the inside scoop! Surprise, surprise! Chloe is carrying some serious pipes on her and was even deemed the “IT girl” of her chorus class back in middle school by one of her best friends, Ellie Maguire. However, Ellie is not the only one…Chloe has been known to hide a secret singing talent amongst her other friends as well. Another cool tidbit about Chloe is that she is an absolute lover of cats, which is telling by one of her famous Instagram usernames “ChloKat”. This feline fanatic also went through a couple of icon fazes involving Harry Styles, Funko Pops, and Harry Potter.
Chloe’s impact goes far beyond her list of accomplishments, transcending the halls of Enloe. She has left an indelible mark on the hearts and lives of her closest friends. As Ellie Maguire reflects on their friendship, “I think I’ve learned what it means to be a true friend” Their bond, forged six years ago in the hallways of Carnage, extends mere friendship. “She’s like a part of my family, she’s the sister that I never had.”
This positive impact is echoed by Celine Ganyo, another Carnage alum, who credits Chloe with changing her life for the better. Chloe’s influence surpasses that of most friends, she challenges her friends to grow, to be adventurous, and to embrace new experiences.
In a world where genuine people and connections are hard to come by, Chloe’s authenticity and sincerity shine through. Over and over, her friends remark on her ability to be a genuine friend, as Ellie puts it, “Chloe doesn’t like to put up a facade, she speaks her truth”. This rare quality will serve her well as her time at Enloe comes to a close and her next adventure begins.
