With each new school year comes new beginnings, and the Enloe Executive Council and its leadership known as “The Big Five” is no different. The upcoming Big Five, comprised of five class of 2026 students, will consist of a student body president and vice presidents of finance, service, publicity and logistics. As the newly elected students arrive to the leadership positions next year, the class of ‘25’s Big Five welcome and introduce the students who will be succeeding them. Our Next Student Body President: Shailen Fofaria
Shailen Fofaria is a notable Enloe microcelebrity. He is known around the community for his efforts in aiding the non-profit Sensible, as Junior Council class president, president of Enloe’s Academy of Creative Design, and more, Shailen will be bringing his “unmatched passion,” in the words of current Study Body President Malone Bridgers, to the table during the 2025-2026 school year. Those close to Shailen know of his dedication to helping others and creating positive change follows him wherever he goes. “My work in the nonprofit sector for the past couple of years has opened many doors for donations, partnerships, sponsorships, and other opportunities to make this 20th year [of Enloe Charity Ball] the best it can be,” he notes. With a plethora of experience already working with current Big Five members, Shailen is sure to bring a consistent leadership style that will continue to bring Student Council (StuCo) and Enloe to further heights. Shailen concludes, “I’ve learned so much from the past two [student body presidents], Celine and Malone, and I look forward to working with Big 5 and leading the council with the same leadership and vision as they did.”
Our Next Vice President for Publicity: Noe Roark
As our current VP of Publicity Mimi Sonawane puts it, Noe is an “ambitious and passionate leader” that is sure to do great things for Enloe Charity Ball (ECB) publicity. A former multimedia officer, Noe has the experience necessary for a great VP of publicity. She has new and innovative ideas for ECB’s 20th Anniversary that she hopes will invigorate student and community interest in the event. “I’m super excited to celebrate the 20th anniversary by honoring alumni and old traditions, but also listening to students’ input and creating new traditions that serve both ECB’s mission and our school” says Noe.
Our next VP of Logistics: Evie Hammer
Described as “reliable, kind, and and truly care[ing] about the work she does” by current logistics VP, Joelle Park, Evie has the precise skill-set needed to ensure smooth StuCo sailing. Throughout her time on the Student Council she has built meaningful connections with local Raleigh businesses, and honed her leadership skills. “I’ve seen firsthand how capable she is; when I had to miss a meeting for an away game […] I had zero worries because I knew she would handle it flawlessly,” notes Joelle.
Our next VP of Service: Parker Acree
Parker Acree has been on StuCo since his freshman year, starting as an advisor and moving his way up through the ranks. He has shown exceptional devotion to Enloe’s student body and building up a community through his years of experience on Student Council. Parker has worked on the ECB Kickball and Chess tournaments in the past, and intends to both improve on these events as well as adding more to maximize hype for Charity Ball’s 20th anniversary. “Mainly, I am looking for more attendance and participation from the Enloe student body,” he notes. “I’ve seen firsthand how committed he is to building community at Enloe and making things happen. I’m excited to see how he takes the role even further and makes it his own,” vouches his predecessor, Penny Choy.
Our next VP of Finance: Tiffany Ye
Finance is one of the most important and difficult positions to manage as it has “a steep learning curve,” as described by current Finance VP Jiya Shu Bhure. However, Tiffany is ready to handle the challenges. A prominent Varsity tennis player and experienced StuCo member, Tiffany is well-rounded and a team player who will be crucial to the success of the 20th anniversary of ECB. “I think Tiffany is highly dedicated and well equipped to accomplish anything she puts her mind to,” says Jiya.
With the upcoming 2025-2026 school year’s Big Five, ECB’s 20th anniversary is sure to exceed all expectations. Enloe StuCo advisor, Ms. Jarvis, notes that this year’s Big Five is special because every member already possesses a strong bond with their colleagues and thinks highly of each other, meaning time spent building trust and teamwork won’t be extensively needed. Enloe Student Council is excited to ramp up school and community engagement with more publicity towards their kickball and basketball tournaments, hot chocolate sales and potentially new events in order to raise donations back to pre-Covid levels. Shailen promises that “with the help of the Enloe community and greater Southeast Raleigh, Big Five is committed to ensuring this will be the best year of Enloe Charity Ball yet!”
