It’s not just friendship and magic – in this episode, staff writers Minty Parker, Maya Segal, Ishani Oldham, Elise Kohli, and Laura Kohli dive into the deeper meaning behind My Little Pony and what it says about society.

Laura Kohli is thrilled to be back at the Eagle’s Eye for a third year, this time as co editor in chief. When not writing, leading The Butterfly Effect women’s empowerment club, or painting a mural, you can find her in the woods or her garden. Laura’s three cats are elusive, but she makes up for that in many photos often unsolicitedly shown to whoever is near her.
Minty is a senior who couldn’t be more excited to return for their third and final year on the Eagle’s Eye staff, and their second year as the Graphics editor and Publicity Head. When not writing or scrolling through Canva elements, Minty can usually be spotted in their natural habitat of the atrium or parking lot after school as the captain of Enloe’s color guard. They are also notably an artist, Pinterest enthusiast, and Adobe Illustrator’s biggest hater. Please do not ask them about Chappell Roan unless you want a lecture about why she’s so great.

Maya is a senior thrilled to be returning for her third year on the Eagle’s Eye and second year as Opinion Editor. She’s involved in Enloe’s dance department and is often busy leading a club meeting or planning a youth group event. In her free time, you can find Maya reading, listening to Hozier, or laughing with her friends.

Ishani is a junior who is thrilled to be joining the Eagle’s Eye staff for a second year. Outside of school, she spends most of her time in a dance studio. She loves long walks, talking to friends, and time with her family. You can usually find Ishani studying or reading anywhere and everywhere.

Elise is hype as heck for her third year on the Eagles Eye staff and first year as Co-editor in chief. When she’s not newspapering she can be found working on the Literary Magazine and harassing those who haven’t submitted their creative writing. She can also be found playing the guitar, badly, or stalking the hall of the NCMA. Elise loves Maggie Rogers and her three cats. Ask her about Juno.
