Nestled just outside the city, the haunted forest of Panic Point features an abundance of horrors made to thrill and terrify you! If you arrive at night, you may notice The Circus is infested with the dead. But don’t be afraid! Panic Point is merely a fabricated attraction. It features multiple haunts, some of the most recognized being the infamous Hayride (our personal favorite) and the Haunted Forest. Although all a facade, meant to twist and pull at your heartstrings, leaving you breathless as you question what you just saw, you are sure to enjoy this chilling treat.
Hayride
When you first enter The Circus, you are escorted to the Hayride. Throughout the Hayride experience, you are led along an old barren path as your guide tells tales of the many experiments that have taken place in the forest. According to the story behind the haunted Hayride, the sharp minds working behind the scenes created a spooky atmosphere with genetically modified “zomboid hybrids” that act and behave just like zombies. We all know these undead monsters are just our scare actors in disguise. However, their freakish movements and quick pace make them appear almost non-human…
Haunted Forest
Now onto the “Haunted Forest.” According to Panic Point, the Haunted Trail is where you’ll find the spookiest scenes in the Triangle. There are over 12 scenes brought to life throughout the half-mile trail, so watch your back as you speed your way through the Butcher’s Shop, Sawmill, Puppet Master’s Parlour, and more! Behind the scenes, the forest is meticulously crafted by their dedicated team. They bring to the table a mix of chilling sound effects and live actors that bring the forest to life—or, rather, death!
What is Actually Going Down at Panic Point?
Many have said even after they’ve left the Haunted Forest, they can still feel chills down their spines for hours. Some have even seen the outline of ghosts and ghouls out of the corner of their eyes, in the shadows…
Jeyan Hymans, a junior at Enloe High School, says, “I was nervous about going to Panic Point again, however, I started to get really anxious when I saw the real bats flying through the sky!” Others noticed the hooting of owls as well as the flapping of shadowy figures occasionally soaring over the parking lot as they raced back to their cars, hearts still pounding.
After discovering these strange happenings, the coincidences began to pile up. We decided to brave Panic Point ourselves to get to the bottom of this mystery, and what we have to share with you is frightening. None of it is fake. Panic Point is actually haunted! At least that’s the conclusion we have come to after we experienced our encounters with the Panic Point Ghouls. What previously seemed to be aspects of the all-encompassing aura of Panic Point prove to be more sinister than you may realize. We couldn’t help but wonder if what we had witnessed was truly otherworldly. And to my dismay, I have reason to believe they are. There is no other explanation for the happenings of Panic Point!
