If you’ve ever seen the impressive graphics for Enloe’s men’s hockey and soccer teams, then you’ve already seen the handiwork of the author of our #1 viewed article, Dylan Bryant. Dylan is multi-faceted, mixing his sports, graphic design and writing skills constantly throughout his life, making him an impressive athlete and student.
As a proud member of various sports teams, both in and out of Enloe, Dylan showcases his excellence in athleticism. For sports, Dylan is no stranger to being physically active every season of the year, participating in Enloe men’s soccer, Enloe men’s volleyball and club soccer outside of school. On top of the teams he actively participates in, Dylan has dabbled in a number of sports, almost too many to count. Long-time friend and fellow Enloe senior Caden Hoover attests to this, “He almost did lacrosse… and he’s not that bad at basketball. He’s definitely the most athletic person in his family.” Given that Dylan’s mother is a former marathon runner, being the most athletic person in the Bryant family is no small feat. Dylan’s interest in sports is also clear through the kind of classes he takes, such as team sports and anatomy and physiology. Caden highlights how some of his favorite sports memories with Dylan are from playing basketball during team sports together.
On top of sports, Dylan also applies himself to writing and graphic design. As a member of the Eagle’s Eye and graphic designer for both Enloe men’s hockey and soccer, Dylan is constantly writing and creating eye-catching graphics. Dylan doesn’t compromise on the quality of either. His article “Recasting Magic: Arguing For The New Harry Potter” is currently the most viewed article on the enloenews.org website. Caden, who’s a captain of Enloe men’s hockey, notes, “he’ll do really cool stuff that I never thought you could do… he did one of our [graphics] and the background was cool pictures of the locker room with the jerseys hung up.”
A true jack of all trades, Dylan boasts a multitude of skills. Despite generally disliking parties, Dylan possesses a few impressive party tricks. Caden says Dylan is “quite good” at the ukulele and has an impressive rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” on the stringed instrument. Additionally, Dylan can do a soccer rainbow, which entails kicking a ball over your head and catching it with the other foot.
Described as honest, sympathetic, and virtuous by Caden, Dylan’s personality is one every friend should value. Caden highlights that his constant playing devil’s advocate is what makes him uniquely funny, yet also sometimes infuriating. Dylan isn’t afraid to make his opinions on right and wrong clear when it comes to his friends and is always willing to hear out every side.
Dylan plans to attend the University of North Florida, where he’ll major in Kinesiology. He has family in northern Florida, and his cousin will also be attending UNF. He’s planning to play intramural volleyball and continue with graphic design as a hobby.
To Dylan,
What’s up, dude! I would say it feels like we met just yesterday, but I can’t say that in good faith with all of the days of Comp Sci we’ve been through. I’m so glad that we became friends at the start of this year because I truly do not know how I survived the first few weeks of that class without talking to anyone. Even though our friendship is relatively short, that doesn’t change the fact that we have so many fun memories together. UNF is nowhere near ready for the bombshell that you are! Don’t forget me in college, or else I’ll haunt you. Cssssssawesome?
Sincerely,
Bryan
