On a brisk October evening, Enloe students packed the nest for the final regular season game of the men’s soccer season. Seniors were particularly prevalent in the stands, gathered to celebrate their classmates on the team’s senior night.
Leesville opened the scoring early, but Enloe quickly leveled the score with a putback from Owen Griffith. Unfortunately, the Pride pulled back ahead with two more goals in the first half.
For many, halftime was the highlight of the night. The 2023 Cap-6 Conference-winning gymnastics team was honored, then the seniors got their spotlight. Each of the nine soon-to-be graduates received flowers and a thunderous applause as they shared their favorite memories and moments from their soccer careers.
Alas, Enloe was never able to get back into the game. The crowd kept up their energetic cheers to no avail, but they stayed and congratulated the team for their successful season. The Eagles finished with a 14-3-2 record and now await further information about potential postseason games. To keep up with the team and secure tickets, follow them @enloemenssoccer on Instagram.
