Is Tik Tok ruining the way we listen to music? From over-edited music clips to toxic parasocial fanbases, we’re already feeling the way we interact with music and artists change through the pervasive medium of short-form media. In this episode, Vivian Njoroge, Jadon Frank, Praghna Hemadri, Elina Perera, Akshat Yadav, and Nora Gillet discuss just that—are we getting worse, or are times simply changing?

(He/him) Jadon is a senior returning to his second year on the Eagle's Eye as Podcast Editor! You can find him working many unpaid hours as a lighting designer for Enloe Theatre. He has a cat.

Vivian Njoroge, Graphic Designer and Publicist

Vivian Njoroge is a senior, and it's her third year on the Eagle's Eye staff. It's also her second year as a graphics editor. Njoroge enjoys making changes within her community and utilizes the newspaper to further the conversation of inequities surrounding her community. Her favorite artist is SZA, but she listens to a lot of different music. She loves hanging out with her friends and just vibing.

Elina Perera, Opinion Editor

(They/them) Elina was selected for Opinion Editor of this fine establishment because they have the best opinions. They are a senior this year, and so excited to return, hopefully for the last time. This is their second year on the Eagle's Eye! They are usually found at concerts, or on trains, or on trains to concerts.

Akshat Yadav, Enloe Now Editor

(He/him) Akshat is a senior here at Enloe. He is excited to return for his third year on the staff to work on the Eagle's Eye's newest (and best) section, Enloe Now. Outside of newspaper, you can either find him reading the New York Times' Politics Section (the second best section), trying new forms of chicken rice, or at RDU airport plane spotting.

Nora Gillett, Graphic Designer and Publicist

(She/Her) This is Nora's second year on the Eagle's Eye and first year as a graphic designer. Though she loves making graphics, she also loves to spend time outside--preferably on a hike of some sort, throwing pottery, and hanging out with her friends.

Praghna Hemadri, Executive Editor

(She/her) Praghna is a senior who is pumped to return to Eagle’s Eye as an Executive Editor! She’s planning on pursuing a degree in chemistry in college, is a huge bookworm, and is addicted to true crime and murder podcasts. When not throwing money at Chipotle, you can find her dancing or going down Wikipedia rabbit holes.
