Enloe’s Black Student Union is hosting a performance showcase on Friday, February 2nd in the auditorium during fourth period and after school at 4:00 pm. Students must get permission from their teachers to attend.
It will feature a range of acts from dance to poetry. This year’s theme centers on the evolution of black American culture, specifically the music genres and events that shaped the community.
The goal of this presentation is to “give black students at Enloe a place to share their stories and share their talents,” says BSU president Joshua Alston. “I also wanted to give the students that are not black a POV of our lives outside of Enloe. I wanted to show them that we are here and we are proud to be black.”
Please come to Enloe BSU’s annual showcase! The club has put a lot of effort into organizing this display, and they hope to see you all there.
