Enloe’s very own jazz band and jazz combo have been selected to compete in the 16th annual Charles Mingus High School Competition & Festival. Each year, the competition takes three high school bands and three jazz combos from across the nation. For the first time in Enloe history, both our jazz band and one of our jazz combos, The Burning Bananas, have been selected.
The event will take place Feb.16-19 at The New School of Jazz in New York City. Luckily, Enloe students can hear the band’s set this Friday at 7. Both bands will be performing for family and friends. Admission is free but donations are always encouraged. Come support our musical eagles and wish them luck for next weekend!
